Draw up a list of the most beautiful cars ever created and the Lamborghini Miura will be jostling for position near the top. Very few cars manage to change the automobile world like the Miura, with its central V12 engine and fascination body, designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone, the two-seater redefined the concept of a sports car. At the time of its debut the Lamborghini Miura was the fastest production car in the world.
Produced from January 1969, the Miura S featured a more-powerful (370bhp) engine, and was outwardly distinguishable from the preceding model by its lower profile tyres and chrome window surrounds. Other improvements included electric windows and better quality interior fittings and trim.
