In 2020 the Philharmonie de Paris and Paris Mozart Orchestra collaborated in order to found the International Competition for Women Conductors La Maestra, which had its inaugural edition between 15-18 September 2020. This competition is completed by an Academy, which provides professional support to the winners for a period of two years.
Co-directed by Claire Gibault, artistic and music director of the Paris Mozart Orchestra, and Laurent Bayle, general manager of the Philharmonie de Paris, the next La Maestra Competition will take place between 3-6 March 2022.
