Want to see how I learned to type really fast with just one hand? Hint: There's no trick other than lots of practice and dedication.

Video Notes (for the most diligent people who either want to know more about the video or saw my description advertisement at the start of the video):

1. Usually I would insert "*description" notes only in a few sparing moments in the video when absolutely necessary, but since this video was so short and also since the whole thing deserves a description, I just put one general one at the beginning. Read on to know everything I have to disclose if you're interested.

2. The facts presented in this video were from the first results found after performing Google and YouTube searches. If you have something to say about it, you can definitely let me know in the comments. For example, I am aware that other websites say that 100WPM is too low to be top 1% and it's actually a bit higher. But as I showed in the video, the first result said the 100WPM or greater was the top 1%. Either way, I would have made 100WPM my goal, it's just the fact that being able to say you're in the top 1% of anything is pretty cool.

3. I said that with 2 hands I can type between 130WPM and 160WPM. The reason I gave this huge range is because the WPM rating differs depending on what site I'm using to measure my WPM. If I'm using 10fastfingers.com, then I'll be between 130-140WPM at best. If I'm using monkeytype.com (also the website that I used to measure my speed in this video), then I can reach between 150-160WPM.

4. In case anybody is familiar with monkeytype.com and is confused by the test I did, I'll explain now. I actually achieved a 103WPM score, but I wasn't filming unfortunately. So I copied down the words that I typed from that sequence, and then put them into a custom typing test in order to successfully replicate what I had done for the video. In the video, you're actually watching the 3rd time I achieved a 100+ score, since the second time I got 102WPM and that time also there was no camera filming.

5. I kind of think of this challenge as solving a Rubik's cube during a competition and then setting the world record (hopefully most of you will understand after I explain). When you're solving a cube, you mostly don't break world record, but you do get better and better always. But once in a while, there just happens to be the right combination of luck as well as a good scramble, that combines unintentionally and allows someone to break the record. Such must happen unintentionally though, or else of course it wouldn't count since it would be rigged. In the same regard, I had to type at 100+WPM successfully on a randomized list of words. In reality, usually I'm between 80 and 90WPM.

6. In the part of the video where I'm choosing a hand, I mention in a caption that I ran multiple tests. I know it's confusing from the way I presented it, but the idea is basically that on average my left hand was 65WPM and on average my right hand was 61WPM. Then I had the film to show the exact numbers, so it made sense to me to use that film. In summary, I said the wrong words orally because I actually used multiple tests, not just one to determine which hand I would use.

7. When I mention there's other theories about the keyboard, in particular I heard about a theory to do with morse code. I'm not sure if there's any other theories, if there are let me know.

8. When I talk about rearranging the keyboard, I display the layout of Scott Steffes, who made a video on youtube with the same general premise as me.

9. The truth is that the clips in this video were reshoots. I was a complete buffoon who was lifting weights at the gym, and then dropped the weights on the floor, not remembering that I had left my phone on the floor. So, I destroyed my old phone, and unfortunately for me I didn't have any backup to the cloud, nor were the photos and videos retrievable. I did absolutely everything I talk about in the video, but for the sake of making the video a lot of the scenes had to be reshot. (Here's a tip for you guys, I recommend backing up your photos and videos to the cloud now if you haven't already done so)

10. I refer to QWERTY as the "standard keyboard" because I'm from Canada and that's the standard over here. And it's the standard for most English keyboards too. I do realize there are other standard layouts for other languages and regions though.
