Climbing Tools: Testing the Abalakov Anchor
So you may be questioning the strenght of those abalokov anchors. That's fine it is good to question your elders every once in awhile. In this little demo we have 5 grown men pulling on this anchor like they were "Pulling a Skier Off Their Sister" . They are also using a 3:1 mechanical advantage system. The puriest that haunt youtube will tell you it is not a true 3:1 cause if friction. Once again they are right.
