In this video we are going to talk about path attribute manipulation for the protocol which runs the internet: Border Gateway Protocol [BGP].
In this first installment of the video we are going to manipulate the incoming updates- weight and local preference and see the effect on the traffic flow after implementation.
Weight is a Cisco proprietary attribute which affects only the local router.
Local preference is a global attribute which affects the entire AS [Autonomous System].
