Dr Martin Suttle is Lecturer in Planetary Science with the Open University who, among other topics, studies micrometeorites. He explains what these dust grains from outer space really are and how you can collect them. Furthermore he explains how sometimes you can link them to comets, asteroids or other large meteorites and what they can tell us about the history and composition of the solar system.
