If a baby does not respond and is not breathing normally, call 911. Check for a brachial pulse for no more than 10 seconds. If there is no pulse, begin CPR on the infant. CPR should be performed with two fingers in the center of the chest, on the sternum, between the nipples for 30 compressions followed by two breaths. Repeat this process until EMS arrives, an AED becomes available, or advanced life support arrives.
