Honda Head Gasket Issue Fixed! - Boosted D15 Street Pulls
In this video, we fix the known Honda head gasket issue that can happen once the motor is boosted. we test the car after coming back from the dyno tuning session, the D15/D16 single-cam Honda Civic motor blew the head gasket again so we fix it using the cheaper thick perforated steel (paper gasket) head gasket.
This dropped the compression ratio from 9.77 to 8.9 - 1 compression and is likely why it fixed our head gasket issues.
We also do street pulls to test the car and the gasket and I can report the issue is fixed as we did over 40 pulls with no head gasket issues.
This boosted Honda D15Z4 / D16Z6 SOHC is currently making 186whp reliably.
