[Spike Gun] User's Manual for Purchasers [Making Tires for Icy Roads]
■ March 2026: TYPE2 is complete. Since we had the opportunity, we made full use of CAD and scanners for a very aggressive design.

We are currently testing whether alternative parts can be used, but the price will likely increase significantly upon resale.
■ June 2024: Started construction for a friend going to Cape Soya! Successfully reached Cape Soya on the 24th-25th. Lent to acquaintances and friends for testing.
This video was created as an instruction manual and construction video for those who purchased the spike gun.
We started selling manual spike guns in the fall of 2024.
The sales price has been revised to ¥7,500 (currently including shipping).
Many buyers are from Hokkaido, and the shipping cost is ¥1,850.
(Although the video states the price is ¥6,000 excluding shipping, I'm revising it to ¥7,500 including shipping.)
(However, this excludes remote islands and areas like Okinawa where shipping from Aichi Prefecture would be significantly more expensive.)
If you're okay with cash on delivery, I'd be happy to sell it for ¥6,500...
I'm introducing this machine because I've used it extensively myself and modified it to my satisfaction. These parts are things I and my friends have used, or rather, tested and improved for usability.
As shown in the video, some parts are modified versions of existing products, so please understand in advance that if those parts are discontinued, I won't be able to provide replacements.
(They are actually becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.)
I've had the rubber break once while using it myself, so I've included a spare, but if that breaks, please use a rubber band as a substitute.
Also, I'm constantly making improvements for ease of use, so the shape may change.

It's said that drilling takes nearly 8 hours per tire, but if it's not a full pin, it can be done in less than 2 hours.
Those going to Cape Soya for New Year's Eve should consider this. It's portable, too...
It comes with a tip holder compatible with JX8-10/JX9-10, but JX9-13 (+¥800) is also available as an option.
Actually, for 125cc tires, I think JX8-10 is the best fit due to the tread pattern...
By the way, I recently made a 6.5x5.7 for bicycles; it was a redesign level, so I accepted the request.
If I find it interesting, I'll consider it lol (I already have the data, so I can do it).

Note: Screw-in spike pins are easy to install and I used them before, but if you drive hard off-road with low pressure like I did, they'll puncture multiple times... so I don't recommend screw-in pins.
