After making a front setout at the Donna Transload Facility followed by a rear setout near the east end of the same site with #4107 left behind, #5579 and companions pull past the railroad crossing made (unfortunately) famous by a wreck on 03.14.1940* with the remainder of the train towards McAllen.
If you pause at 1:12, you can see homeboy there staring right at my camera from the cab. It's all good man, you're YouTube famous!
*StLB&M Train 1-215 or 15-113 heading west was scheduled to stop in Alamo at 8:08 am; the wreck on Tower Road occurred at 8:06 am.
