10 Lessons I Have Learned Since Leaving High School
DISCLAIMER:
This video was originally scheduled for the week of June 4th, the day I graduated from high school.
However, due to the recent protests, I decided to hold it back one week so more important voices could have their say.
The video was recorded the week of May 25th, the day George Floyd was murdered by members
of the Minneapolis Police Department. However, at the time of recording, the protests hadn't begun in Utah until May 30th, which was when the reality of what was happening started to sink in.
While I am choosing to upload this video now, I want to make it clear that this does not mean
I am "done caring" about what is going on. There is still a great deal of work to be done to
address the deeply-rooted systemic racism prevalent in the United States, and the world as a whole.
