Samsung CLX-2160 Deve Home Sensor Error
My fix for the "Deve Home Sensor Error" on the Samsung printers. My model is CLX-2160. Other models might be different.
I believe the fault to be a result of wear on the white cam lobes, causing the solenoid to incorrectly read the position of the spindle. When I put extra tension on the spring it didn't seem to make any difference. Yet when I fiddled with the position of the plate the spring is attached to, I got a better result. So I figured it was an alignment issue and went about trying to adjust the alignment by bending the little arms the plate pivots on.
If you do find the spring tension is an issue, then I suggest bending back the metal lug it attaches to, rahten than actually trying to adjust the spring itself.
Ultimately, it would be better to remove that plate and bend the lug on the end that contacts the cam lobes, but I didn't want to have to dismantle my printer any more than I already had.
