[Production in conjunction with @ESNEELSEMBRADOR on the program "Actualidad y Fe"]
1. Abraham intercedes for Sodom and Gomorrah, knowing that they were cities gravely contaminated by sin (Genesis 18:16-33).
2. Moses intercedes for the chosen people, who at that time deserved destruction (Numbers 14:13-14). The reason for his prayer is the pursuit of God's glory.
3. Samuel realizes the people's rebellion when they ask for a king, but in dialogue with God, he discovers that this king is part of the Lord's plan and ultimately intercedes for the rebellious people (1 Samuel 12:19-23).
4. King Solomon intercedes for the people when he consecrates the temple in Jerusalem (1 Kings 8:22-32).
5. Jeremiah, who was so hated, is remembered as "the one who loves his brothers greatly" (2 Maccabees 15:14).
6. Christ is the great intercessor, the great Mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5).
7. The fervent prayer of a righteous man has great power (James 5:16).
8. The prayers of the saints rise like incense in the presence of the eternal God (Revelation 8:4).
The example of the saints: Saint Stephen the First Martyr; Saint Monica, mother of Saint Augustine; and Saint Dominic de Guzmán stand out.
