An Update Of the Koi Pond, This time Filmed during the winter and from the fish perspective.
After a few weeks of work after work in the middle of winter I finally finished my pond, Big enough to swim in, small enough to have in a front yard. An Estimated 19,000 Gallon Eco-System, with a Skimmer Box and a Bio-Filter Waterfall. The Stream serves as a secondary Bio-Filter with plants and Bacteria, a 6,500 gph pump makes sure the water cycles continuously.
In the Pond, Select Butterfly Koi, and White Cloud Mountain Minnows stay active all year. During the summers, Peacock Cichlids, African Cichlids, Fire Mouth Cichlids, and Fancy tail Guppies keep things really interesting when you dive. Specially if you have fish food in your hands. Why have a swimming pool that you have to close every year when you can have a Living Pool that looks awesome all year round!
