The Hunter Factory
SkyNews.ch met André Lortie, founder and owner of Lortie Aviation, the “Hunter Factory” near Québec in French-speaking Canada. Lortie Aviation currently operates no fewer than 20 of these elegant former Swiss Air Force fighters for Textron subsidiary Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), which uses them as aggressors in US Armed Forces pilot training. Lortie Aviation overhauls two Avon engines per month to zero hours, and one “new” Hunter leaves the Lortie hangars every year. Film by Hansjörg Bürgi
