GAUS JULIUS CAESAR FROM THE REPUBLIC TO THE EMPIRE OF ROME
Gaius Julius Caesar participated both politically and militarily in Rome during the first century BC. After winning the battle that pitted him against part of the Senate, he came to dominate the Roman Republic for several years. He is considered the last dictator before the beginning of the list of emperors of the Roman Empire.
