Dissecting an unknown bicycle bottom bracket
I scrapping an old Gazelle bicycle that has an unfamiliar type of bottom bracket. So I decided to take it apart to satisfy my curiosity. Someone on a bicycle forum called it a Thompson style bottom bracket but I'm not sure. To be honest I have not searched the internet extensively, I'm just hoping this video will get me the answer :)
It has rather small ball bearings and the cups and cones are mostly a press fit. It looks kinda hard to fit a replacement. But what do I know, I'm not a bicycle mechanic.
