Andrew Makadsi - Activism Over Art: My Journey Through Lebanon's Turmoil
Makadsi is known locally as the rave activator, the Brooklyn based DJ & Producer always brings his whole heart to the underground with that you_had_to_be_there urgency.
Raised in Zahle Lebanon and mothered by New York City, the artists' signature sound blends his Arabic influences into cross-genre sets.
As resident and co-founder of FUNCTION, Makadsi has worked to cultivate a dance floor that honors the natural, vibrant diversity of New York City.
He wrapped 2023 taking FUNCTION the road internationally alongside The Renaissance World Tour, most notably performing opening sets for both Beyoncé and Madonna’s tours.
Makadsi will be coming in for NY Pride fresh off his Euro tour with stops in Ibiza, Glastonbury, and Berlin.
