Jim Brower, former MLB pitcher and the owner of Brower Baseball, brought a few of his pitchers into the Human Powered Health Performance Lab in Edina, Minnesota for some dynamic physiological testing.
As a part of their assessment, the pitchers used force plates, a grip strength device, and the proteus motion machine to set various bench marks for the performance of their bodies.
Brower Baseball is using this next-level technology to give their pitchers the inside edge for their upcoming college baseball seasons.
Using the movement and force data from these assessments, the pitchers were able to optimize their summer training to their arms and bodies - not a generic training regiment. Many of them are now on their way to breaking into the 90s on their pitches.
