Testing Times
Testing my restored 1989 CFM 'Shadow BD' microlight aircraft at maximum all-up weight (MAUW).
I did a series of flights to check out the aircraft's behaviour at take-off, climb, slow speed, steep turns, descent and landing.
Turns out that the aircraft will fly very slow, but not actually stall.
David Cook, from UK, designed the Shadow in the early 1980s. It was ground-breaking machine which set amazing distance, speed and altitude records.
