How to Read your Depth Recorder
In this video we put on our scuba gear and filmed what fishing structure looked like on the bottom of the ocean compared to how it showed up on our depth recorder. Marine electronics have come a long a way and provide valuable insight as to where the fish are at. Knowing how to read your depth recorder will help you to catch more fish. In this video we'll help you to see what the actual structure is and then how it shows up on your depth recorder. We are using Garmin electronics but all depth recorders show in a similar manner. We look at artificial reefs, natural reefs, hard bottom, ledges and the fish that hang around these structure.
