Lobstering in Shallow Live Bottoms with Strong Current!
We had a great day on the first day of Lobster Mini Season in the Florida Keys, but Day 2 always seems harder. Today we start in some shallow areas where we were on day 1 but there wasn't enough lobster there to get our limit. We moved to another area where we have done well in the past. This area holds a lot of lobster but you have to time the tides correctly. If it's not slack tide, the current runs too quickly to swim against. I go over the boat driving tactics that I use to pull diver to lobster and how to be efficient and not waste time when trying to catch lobster on the slack tide.
