A Bucket-full of Burnets
For about a week in late June the grassland at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve turns purple as the Tufted Vetch comes into flower. At the same time several thousand Narrow-bordered 5-spot Burnet Moths emerge from their papery cocoons. Their mission is to feed and breed before the flowers disappear.
