Winter Thrushes
January in Calderdale and Redwings and Fieldfares are making the most of what berries remain on the trees. I'm not normally a fan of introduced species but during this cold snap, there was nothing left of the native rose hips, rowan and hawthorn berries. Cotoneaster trees provided some much needed sustainance for these Scandinavian migrants.
