Ducky One 2 Mini Special: This is My 60
The Ducky One 2 Mini has become something of a phenomenon this year. Fortnite legend Tfue has made it the board to own for many and they are actually now quite hard to get hold of. I've said before that I don't care to look down on people based on what they buy, and while some people roll their eyes at the deluge of Ducky's and the avalanche of Anne Pro's, I welcome the fact that 2019 looks like the year 60% keyboards really blow up. Thanks to all the owners for kindly agreeing to let me show their photos here. I'm not going to have many Ducky's in the regular This is My 60 series, but I wanted to acknowledge its popularity by giving it an one-off episode. I knew nothing about Tfue before February, and I've never payed much attention to Fortnite, so I had to do a bit of research while putting this together. When I heard his name, the Hamlet soliloquy was one of the first things I thought of. No idea why, but I decided to go with it, so I should thank William Shakespeare, too. I watched my hero, Kenneth Branagh dozens of times rehearsing my delivery. I was thinking about the feelings of the custom keyboard community as they see this wave of mainstream keyboards with unusual colours coming their way. As I said, some people see them as a threat or as interlopers. There's a lot of snobbery around. I say let people like what they like. It's a weird one, but I had fun writing it.
