Azizams! You've started your own business and are struggling – then suddenly a big-name brand comes along and offers you a really solid sponsorship deal. The only catch: what's behind the brand is a disaster. What do you do? The fact is: a whole bunch of brands and companies are actually quite problematic because they do reprehensible things. But why not use dirty money for something clean that could ultimately benefit disadvantaged people? Why should those who depend on the money say no? And is there even such a thing as clean money when it comes to sponsorships?

In this episode, we have a heated discussion about whether it's okay to make deals with brands that are actually haram (forbidden). Why? Because there's practically no brand that doesn't have some skeletons in its closet – where do you even begin, where do you stop? Many large companies, for example, have problematic chairpersons or are known for sexist, homophobic, racist advertising – and their products still sell. But who actually gets the credit when well-known brands advertise with the faces of BIPoC? Do marginalized individuals and their communities benefit from their visibility, or is it the company that strategically uses diversity as a marketing strategy and profits from it?
