The new Dexcom Stelo is made for people with type 2, but if you have type 1, could you use it in a pinch? The first over-the-counter CGM would be pretty convenient!

Please note: as Dexcom’s Jake Leach says here, Stelo does NOT have alerts and alarms like a G7, it doesn’t connect to insulin pumps, etc. But imagine being able to walk into a pharmacy and grab a Dexcom off the shelf when you’re going to a waterpark, worried about insurance coverage, or any other scenarios we all experience, is going to be huge for the T1D community.
