Society is at a cultural crossroads. The Enlightenment brought us scientific breakthroughs and a technological revolution… so much good, yet it’s left us wanting more. Over the past few years, that longing has led me to wrestle with God more than ever.
Former atheist turned theist C.S. Lewis captured this struggle perfectly:
“My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.”
That line helped inspire this song, but it’s the wrestling match itself that made me choose a side.
