Toyota has been always know for its full size SUV’s & MPV’s in INDIA.The Hottest Car Segment today in India is Compact SUV / C-SUV / Mid-Size SUV segment.Toyota was missing in this segment until they launched their New Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Mid Size SUV. This car is developed between Maruti Suzuki & Toyota through their JV. The Maruti’s version of the Hyryder is called as the Grand Vitara. Toyota is know globally for its hybrid system. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is the first hybrid car from this JV. The Engine & Hybrid powertrain is Completely developed by Toyota.
The Hyryder is powered by a 1.5L 3 Cylinder Petrol engine which is combined with a 0.76KWH lithium-ion battery which produces a total for 115 PS & 142NM Of Torque(Combined).The main focus is on Mileage & Comfort, and the Hyryder excels in it. Claimed mileage of 27 KMPL in real world translates to 22-23 which is quite commendable.
Toyota had a sunroof missing on all their vehicles in INDIA but this time they have given us a Full Size Panoramic Sunroof which is the biggest in terms of Opening in the Segment.Also have loaded the Hyryder with features like heads-up-display,tpms,360 Camera,ventilated seats and more.
