Vladislav Kan, Carousell | An Engineer’s Journey
Rocket Academy recently hosted Vladislav Kan, Engineering Manager from Carousell, at our regular Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. Rocket’s AMA sessions are held as part of the immersive experience for our Coding Bootcamp students and alumni.
Carousell is a smartphone and web-based consumer to consumer and business to consumer marketplace for buying and selling new and secondhand goods. Headquartered in Singapore, Carousell also operates in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
During the hour-long session, Kan shared with us his professional journey, as well as insights on pertinent topics such as choosing a specialization, what working life looks like, as well as lessons learnt along the way.
