Using COMPOST help us establish a SUSTAINABLE FARM (Step by Step Guide)
The video is a step by step guide on how to do HOT COMPOSTING.
Using compost is our farm's effort and solution in making our farm more sustainable in the long term. Farm sustainability is not just about the financial aspect. It is also ensuring long term productivity of the soil for without proper soil health there can be no consistent high level productivity in the farm.
We use the hot composting method (thermophelic) and uses very basic ingredients:
*Nitrogen Component:
-Grass clipping
-Kitchen waste (not food waste) - difference between the two are explained in the video
-Animal manure (ruminants & chicken dung)
-Egg Shells / Coffee Grounds / Tea
-Bio-char
*Carbon materials:
-Leaves
-Cardboards (npt glossy_
-Brown paper
*Air / Oxygen
*Water
