With the reign of Charles V, the Habsburgs became the most powerful dynasty in Europe, their empire stretching from Spain to Hungary, from Mexico City to Lima. Yet, 250 years later, they had lost almost all of their western territories and had been pushed far east. How is this possible? Let's revisit this part of our history together in this episode!
