AOE2:DE - OP Fast Imperial Custom Civilization gameplay
A demonstration of a custom overpowered fast imperial/gunpowder civilization. This civilization was created using the Advanced Genie Editor and was based off of Spirit of the Law's ideas for creating the most overpowered fast imperial/gunpowder civilization using existing civilization bonuses. The main strategy for this civilization is to go from Dark Age to Imperial Age without stopping in Feudal and Castle. It's essentially a much faster version of the Fast Imperial Turk build order and is meant to defeat opponents that are still in Feudal/Castle Age with Hand Cannoneers and Bombard Cannons. A map such as Arena would be ideal for this civilization.
Even though I wasn't perfect with the build order in this video (I did use a lot of pause queuing, though), I still easily beat the Extreme AI, who could only defend themselves with Skirmishers.

No buildings are required to advance to the next Age or to unlock other buildings. (Khmer)
Advancing to the Imperial Age is 33% cheaper. (Byzantines)
Advancing to next age 67% faster (Byzantines)
Free Chemistry (Turks)
Gunpowder units are 20% cheaper. (Italians)
Gunpowder units created 25% faster (Turks)
Unique Units: Huskarls (Goths)
Unique Techs: Sultans (Indians), Shatagni (Indians)
The Fast Imperial Civ vs. Fast Imperial Turk comparison was done in a controlled scenario that attempted to reduce variability. The Deer were stuck at the Town Center, while the Boars would automatically move to the Town Center upon reaching certain Villager counts.
