In this video we're going to make an elevated version of the CNCed aluminum box that we were working on in previous videos. This version will illustrate machining more organic contoured surfaces and making threaded holes. The model we’re working with today is called BoxPlus, and It's similar to the EasyBox project from previous videos, but a bit more sophisticated. This box is going to have rounded corners, a lid screwed on with 6-32 socket-head cap screws. We’ll drill and thread the holes for those screws.

This is part of the SendItCNC video tutorial series, where the team at SendItCNC takes you through the process of making various parts using CNC machines in the cloud. These tutorials cover setups, CAM techniques, and job submission. The focus is on actually making the parts and getting them in your hands quickly.

Tutorial Materials: Examples used are available free of charge online, including our Fusion 360 CNC setup app, tool libraries, templates and example designs complete with CAM. Download the app at F360app.senditcnc.com (Autodesk login required).
