2023 HIGHLIGHT REEL — Caleb Jones
What. A. Year.
It was another insane year of whitewater and I'm excited to share all the highlights from this year. I spent nearly 140 days on the river, whether it was kayaking, raft guiding or even canoeing, and I'm so pumped to do it again in 2024.
I took 197 commercial whitewater rafting trips, bringing my career total to 881 and a massive milestone I'm hoping to achieve in Year 5.
Meanwhile, I finally got my first descent of the Nantahala Cascades and I'm still thinking about how enjoyable it was. Also made my first laps on the Tallulah for the first time since 2019, which I had forgotten what a great run the river was.

I won an Alabama Cup for K2 Slalom with @danojoneskayak and the Alabama Cup for Novice OC1 Men.
Placed 2nd in Men's Championship Downriver at both the Mulberry Fork and Locust Fork Races. Placed 2nd in Men's Playboat Slalom in both the Mulberry Fork and Locust Fork Races. Placed 3rd in Men's K1 Cruising Slalom at the Mulberry Fork Race and 4th in the Locust Fork Invitational.
Placed 1st in the Haystack Festival Freestyle Competition at Montgomery Whitewater.
Want to give a shoutout to Whitewater Express, River Company Outfitters, Montgomery Whitewater, Alabama Cup Races and my friends and family. Without you guys, this is not the life I would be living and enjoying.
