How to Become a True Passive Investor.
Using passive instruments like ETFs isn't enough to call yourself a true passive investor. In both bull and bear markets, many investors, despite their best intentions, tweak their portfolios to try to beat the market. Either to limit losses when the market declines or to take home gains when the market rises.
They (rightly) distrust actively managed funds, but instead replace entire teams of analysts in an attempt to identify the right timing to enter or exit the market, ride the next trend that will guarantee them double their invested capital in a few years, or select the bond most sensitive to interest rate cuts.
