How to Protect Tomatoes with Heavy Rains Expected | PNW Zone 8b

Well, now that we have all of our tender summer crops out, there is going to be some heavy storm watches for the beginning of June. The weather channels say that we will have 2 atmospheric rivers from Sunday-Wednesday (first week of June basically). While we may have experienced rain in June before, it sounds like it will really be coming down.
Ultimately, your tomatoes and other crops will likely be fine, but your heart might feel better if you take some extra precautions to make sure your veggies do there best. With the amount of rain we are expecting, the drops will likely be large and fall hard- something we don’t want on our tender transplants. Luckily, protecting them is easy and in this video I talk about covering your sensitive plants for the impending rain. Perhaps the weather will not be as extreme, but sometimes it is better to be ready just in case.
