Modeling of the spiral drill in SolidWorks
In this video tutorial we will learn how to simulate a twist drill into the SolidWorks software. We will try to make it as realistic as possible: add groove back of the head to form a ribbon spiral and make the right grind to form a positive clearance angle.
This seemingly simple example we analyze a lot of useful tools SolidWorks: «Helix and Spiral", "3D-sketch", "Cut path", "Auxiliary plane", "Circular Pattern" ... Also learn how to do the trajectory where used 3D-sketches.
