Warzone Hackers in Caldera
Just hours after launch, Warzone pro Fifakill and his squad ran into hackers on the brand new Caldera map, despite Actvision making big claims about its new Ricochet anti-cheat. Fifakill and Huskerrs were just checking on the new Caldera map in Warzone, trying to get a feel for the ground loot and how the map played, when they ran into a
hacker clearly using an aimbot.
After seeing the hacker pre-aim at their location, and not miss any shots despite having no line of sight through trees, Fifakill took to twitter and said “Just died to my first cheater in Caldera”. While it may seem bad that Fifakill and Huskerrs have already died to hackers despite Warzone making big promises about the Ricochet anti-cheat coming with the pacific update...it turns out that for the early access event, the anti-cheat wasn’t actually on. Activision announced that they had pushed back Ricochet to release today with the global role out of the new map and update...which meant hackers still had at least 1 more day to go wild in Warzone. So will today finally see the end of Warzone hacking, or is Ricochet just another anti-cheat that hackers will bypass in days? Let us know what you think in the comments!
