How it works: Goodyear Unicircle retread machine
Jim Foughty, manager of field services for retread systems with Goodyear, guides us through a demonstration of the company’s UniCircle retread machine at Goodyear’s North America Customer Conference in Aurora, Colo. It takes about four minutes to apply a seamless retread. Goodyear has roughly 80 UniCircle machines in the field. “It’s a growing part of our retread lineup,” Foughty said. (Note: During an actual retread, adhesive is used to bond the tread).
