INTERNATIONAL ROAD TRIP // Junior Leaders 2018 in 4K
My entire summer through my eyes.
This summer, I headed out on my second six-week backpacking trip and brought a camera along with me. I was accompanied by 4 great trip leaders, and 13 of my closest friends that have come back to Camp Thunderbird for Boys with me for 5 years now.
This summer we took two 13 passenger vans carrying ourselves and our backpacks through North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and four Canadian providences (Alberta, British Colombia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba).
We backpacked the trails and summited the mountains we drove by, on a total of 13 days in the backcountry, and spent the remaining time in cities like Jackson Hole WY where we spent the fourth of July, Bannf AB and Jasper AB. We visited The Badlands, Wall Drug, Mt. Rushmore, and Devil's tower in South Dakota, went white water rafting on the Yellowstone River, and put our strength to the test in Bonner's Fery Idaho where we repaired trails for the Ranger District, giving back to the trails we have been hiking for years.
I had so much fun this summer, learned so much, and will take these friendships I have made with me for a lifetime.
