The Fokker DR‑1 Triplane is finally finished and ready for the maiden — just not in this video. As with most short‑nosed aircraft, I had to add a fair bit of weight up front to get the balance right, but she’s sitting much better now than she would have without it.
I didn’t do any airbrushing this time. Using black tissue and a slightly different doping approach has given a finish I’m genuinely happy with, so no extra paint was needed.
If you’re building this model too, feel free to share your progress and thoughts in the comments — always great to see how others tackle the same kit. Thanks as always for your support and for following the series.
Maiden flight coming as soon as weather (and a flying site!) allow.
