The 2023 David H. Miller Memorial Lecture
On April 24, 2023, Reta Jo Lewis, president and chair of the board of directors of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S., joined the Elliott School to speak as part of the annual David H. Miller Memorial Lecture. Chair Lewis discussed the role commercial engagement plays in U.S. ties with sub-Saharan Africa, following on the heels of her recent visit to the region. After brief opening remarks, she joined in a discussion with Jennifer Cooke, director of the Elliott School's Institute for African Studies. Elliott School Dean Alyssa Ayres also provided welcome remarks and introductions.
