This week's conversation focuses on an amazing funding opportunity in Massachusetts: The Community Preservation Act. This state enabling legislation allows communities to raise local funds that are dedicated for historic preservation, community housing and open space/recreation. It is an extremely valuable preservation funding tool for communities. This discussion provides a general overview of the program, how its funded, how to pass it and criteria and requirements for preservation projects to seek CPA funding. Our Circuit Riders also give insight and tips from their experience working with CPA projects and communities statewide.
