Rotating a video can sometimes be tricky, especially iPhone videos that are recorded in portrait mode but get imported into Blender with a landscape orientation.
In this session, we'll cover how to rotate a video using the Compositor - Blender's powerful Node Editor. It's quite different from using the Video Sequence Editor, but worth the effort to learn if you want to get into other sorts of things in the future such as green screen work.
Time codes:
00:16 Example video
00:55 Adjusting the Scene Properties
02:40 Opening the Compositor workspace
03:03 Creating a new Scene
04:17 Working with Nodes in the Compositor
10:58 Finishing up in the Video Sequence Editor
Fun trivia: this is the first YouTube video that I edited completely in Blender 2.90.1 on Linux. It was a very nice experience!
