STRATEGY IN DESCRIPTION
This challenge is up there for me personally as probably the craziest thing I’ve done in Destiny 2. The timings in this encounter with 2 people are incredibly tight. If you’re interested in doing this yourself here is the general strategy as well as some tips that might help you out. Shoutout to my friend and partner again Pango Unchained this was super fun! Thanks for stopping by!
Player 1 is Suppressor
Player 2 is Scanner and Operator
2 top tree Nightstalker Hunters are probably the play because the dodge and crowd control from tether are invaluable.
The general premise of the strategy is to have player 2 scan the nuke deposit locations, put scanner in the augment terminal, and then grab operator off the floor to shoot the panel and have only 2 nukes spawn all while player 1 is suppressing Taniks as fast as possible. This timing can be very tight depending on a number of factors.
In order to make this timing work the best thing to do is at the start of the encounter clear ads and have player 1 acquire suppressor and player 2 acquire scanner. It is important here to try and not kill the operator too quickly because if you do the augment will despawn as the scanning phase begins. This timing is critical because if the operator augment has been on the floor too long it will despawn and a new operator vandal will spawn at a random location. (This actually happens to me here 6:58 ) In order to best prevent this from happening try and weaken the operator vandal and know his whereabouts prior to the scanning phase or just kill him a few seconds before (example at 1:53 ) you think scanning phase will happen. This just takes some practice to best understand the timing.
Another key thing we discovered was trying our best to have the operator and suppressor on the same side of the room before the scanning/depositing phase begins. The reason for this is if for example operator is right and they shoot a panel on the right side there will be a nuke for sure on the left. Therefore, if the suppressor starts on the right and works their way to the left the end of the suppressor path will end up on the side where you know for sure at least one of the nukes will spawn. From here it was pretty much an audible as to who would deposit where but generally it was always the one closet for each nuke spawn location.
After both players deposit nukes if suppressor is deactivated they must hit the out of bounds ( 2:30 ) under the boss platform to get rid of their augment causing it to respawn on a new suppressor vandal. In contrast, the operator must ALWAYS hit the out of bounds to get rid of the operator augment because they need to be able to pick up scanner from the augment terminal. Therefore, it is the job of both players to identify the new operator vandal spawn and/or suppressor vandal spawn when both players have to go out of bounds.
