Per the Columbus Dispatch, The Foundation (a not for profit fundraiser for Ohio State Buckeye athletics), had endorsed Jake Diebler to be the next Ohio State Buckeye Basketball Head Coach.

Ross Bjork, the new Athletic Director at Ohio State, succeeding predecessor Gene Smith, is very big on fundraising and embracing the new era of college sports.

Could this be why Jake Diebler became the man they targeted early on top of his success in the last month?

Jake Diebler's first act as Ohio State Buckeyes head coach is to do well in the NIT. This could grow confidence going into next season as well as help ease the concern in the minds of #buckeyenation as to the hiring of Jake in the first place.
