حدث مع هذا الرجل شيء لم يحدث مع أحد قبله!
القصة من ولاية ميزوري الأمريكية، تحديداً من مدينة فالي بارك بمقاطعة سانت لويس، وهي المكان الذي ولد فيه بطل القصة مايكل أندرسون عام 1977.
عندما كان مايكل صغيراً، انفصل أبوه وأمه عن بعضهما، وسافر والده إلى كاليفورنيا ، وعاش مايكل مع أمه.
بعد فترة تزوجت والدة مايكل ولم يستطع التأقلم على الحياة معها ومع زوجها لذلك انتقل للعيش مع والده في كاليفورنيا، تحديداً في مدينة سان دييغو.
كان مايكل ابناً جيداً ولكنه كانت هنالك مشكلة صغيرة، فلم يكن يحب المدرسة.
أصبح لدى مايكل صديق يدعى لارون هاريس وهو ابن صديقة والده.
كانت علاقتهما قوية لدرجة أنهما كانا يناديان بعضهما بـ "أخي".
ورغم أن والد مايكل ووالدة هاريس انفصلا إلا أن مايكل وهاريس بقيا صديقين مقربين.
تخرج مايكل من المدرسة الثانوية عام 1998 ، ورغم إصرار والده على أن يلتحق بالجامعة إلا أن مايكل رفض ذلك.
عاد مايكل بعد ذلك الى ميزوري ليعيش مع والدته وزوجها، وعمل في أكثر من وظيفة، ومن ضمن هذه الوظائف وظيفة في شركة At&t .
ذهب هاريس ليزور صدييقه مايكل اندرسون في ميزوري، وذهبا سوياً إلى مدينة سانت تشارلز، وهناك بدأت القصة.

The story is from Missouri, specifically from Valley Park, St. Louis, and it is the place where story hero Michael Anderson was born in 1977.
When Michael was young, his father and mother separated from each other, his father traveled to California, and Michael lived with his mother.
After a while, Michael's mother got married, and he could not cope with her and her husband's life, so he moved to live with his father in California, particularly in San Diego.
Michael was a good son but there was a little problem, he didn't like school.
Michael has a friend named Laron Harris who is the son of his father's girlfriend.
Their relationship was so strong that they called each other "my brother."
Although Michael's father and Harris' mother separated, Michael and Harris remained close friends.
Michael graduated from high school in 1998, and despite his father's insistence that he attend university, Michael refused.
Michael then returned to Missouri to live with his mother and husband, working in more than one position, including one at At & t.
Harris went to visit his friend Michael Anderson in Missouri, and they went together to St. Charles, and there the story began.
