Alongside Gain, Pan and a Volume Fader, you’ll find EQ and Compression modules too, and these are frequently referred to as the Channel Strip plug-ins, even if you’re mixing in Logic.
In this episode, I’m going to take you through the configuration of Logic’s Channel EQ and Compression for vocal mixing. We’ll look at the order of these two effects, how to easily identify any problem frequency bands, as well as looking at how quite subtle adjustments can make a big difference at the mix stage.
