How did the Antes appear and how did they live? || History is interesting
The Antes were a Slavic intertribal association. The Penkovo culture is considered their archaeological equivalent. The descendants of the Antes are the Polyans, a Dnieper Slavic tribe that played, if not the main, then at least a major role in the unification of other East Slavic tribes into a single state—Rus'.
But today we will not talk about how the Antes influenced the formation of the powerful state of Kievan Rus', but rather about how they lived, what they believed in, how they fought, and where they came from.
